For all my myLot friends - I would like to share some advice that some of my friends on myLot told me about. I thought I'd share it with you, since it can really multiply your earnings on myLot. I have been informed that, when you post/reply to discussions, if you write at least six lines, you will be paid a higher amount for that, than if you were to just write one or two lines. If you can keep your sentences short, then six lines is not a lot ! So friends, try to keep this advice in mind for your future discussions and the money start to add up quicker than it was before.

storage area network to solve your data problems

For me, the 2-disk iscsi storage is just about the perfect tool for home storage. It's affordable, small, doesn't use much power, makes hardly any noise, has redundant storage, and (depending on the model you get) packs lot of features. They make so much sense for the home because their networking capabilities allow for use with multiple computers, plus they can stream video, music, and pictures to a wide range of connected devices.

It provides a central place to securely store and share all of your data. To easily understand, this system can be thought of as a hard drive or multiple hard drives for your entire network rather than for just one computer. With iscsi storage, multiple PCs and Macs (even those connected via the Internet) can instantly access the same shared files. For added functionality, printers can be attached to a compatible device to share the printer between all computers on the network and multimedia content stored on the drive and can be streamed to TVs throughout the network. Simple to use and install, storage server solutions offer best-in-class shared network storage server.

Performance isn't the highest priority for a two-disk consumer drives but it is something to keep in mind. Speeds are going to vary based on the file sizes you are moving and the storage area network you are using, but I was able to get transfer speeds averaging 10-10.5 MBps on transfers to the network drives from my computer and 8.5-9 MBps from the storage drive to computers on the network when using RAID1. These are real-life transfers so mileage may vary, but on the whole they are a good approximation of what the drive should be able to handle.
