For all my myLot friends - I would like to share some advice that some of my friends on myLot told me about. I thought I'd share it with you, since it can really multiply your earnings on myLot. I have been informed that, when you post/reply to discussions, if you write at least six lines, you will be paid a higher amount for that, than if you were to just write one or two lines. If you can keep your sentences short, then six lines is not a lot ! So friends, try to keep this advice in mind for your future discussions and the money start to add up quicker than it was before.

Awareness prevents fraud

With today rising financial costs, keeping track of the company finances is one of the major necessities of every business. It is simply impossible for companies to keep track of each and every expense without having a good audit software set up to analyze and audit data, become more productive and keep an sharp eye on where the money is going at all times . Auditing helps the companies in meeting the necessary genuine expenses and eases the financial burden to some extent as there is no uncertainty on the financial position.

When these unavoidable expenses occur, one notices that there are basically two type’s people. One category of people file their bills correctly without any extra charges and the other type of people who think they’re just getting even with a large company, rather than committing a crime, when they defraud a company by submitting a false bill. This type of fraud is on the rise as the people who are committing it seem unconcerned about the fact that not only is it a very wrong thing to do but also in the end everyone ends up paying for companies losses due to this willful fraud through increased add on expenses, etc.

Many companies are more aware of the fraud which is happening and they are trying to rectify this problem on a war footing. The employees should try to be as alert as possible so that their companies do not become a victim of insurance fraud. One should always follow the industry best practices and do not fall for any types of freebies and other gimmicks that some companies might offer at the last minute to entice others to do wrong things. Review each and every bill carefully to look out for any extra charges for any item which the company did not receive. Being an alert person will not only keep the person out of trouble with the authorities but in the long run companies will eventually end up with lesser amount of loss as the incidence of fraud is reduced.

They focus on the entire procure-to-pay business cycle, giving the company insight into every step and every weakness from transaction initiation to final payment while stressing the importance of strong and friendly vendor relationships. Waht a day I had

Have you ever had one of those days when you had your day all planned out, been really all set to get all the work you had planned done and then had life throw a Googly in all your plans?

I got up yesterday morning thinking about going to work a little early and completing most of my work as quickly as possible so that I could attend some family function later on in the day. Everything was going just right and smoothly till I stepped out of the house. I opened up the car door, put my stuff inside and went to open the main gate on the boundary wall. Hmmm….decided against it as there were two bulls head butting like there’s no tomorrow. I really didn’t want to mediate between them just now. So, they went back and forth and I wasted a full 30 minutes for them to move down the street.

With them finally gone I decided to get going. I noticed one of the front tires was flat. Oh well there goes my day I thought as I called up the service center to send someone over to put on the spare tire and take the other one away to get it patched up and refilled with air. The little monkey from the service center came mighty quick and I was thrilled by his prompt work. But my unlucky streak for the day had not left me just yet. Just when the little kid was lowering the jacked up car, it somehow slipped off the jack and started rolling down the drive way. “Oh shit!!!” I yelled as I and the kid were running after the car. It rolled across the street and into the same ditch which the two guys had driven into a few days back when they were trying to avoid a stray animal.

While I was chewing out the boy for not putting the car into gear and putting something behind the rear wheel to jam it, I noticed a truck coming my way and we hailed it down. I really didn’t want to do any huffing and puffing just now before heading off to work. The driver was willing to help us out. Luckily he had a chain in the back which was tied to one end of my car and it was effortlessly pulled out.

No matter how hard I try, sometimes my day just does not turn out right. Even though 90 minutes had elapsed since I had stepped out the front door of my house, my day was not completely a loss, and I’ve still had enough time to speed through the remaining time. I managed to finish most of the items on my agenda and the rest will be wrapped up sometime tomorrow. I have learned to take the unexpected surprises that life throws at me. It happens many times in everybody's life, and I am no exception. Expect the unexpected and just go with the flow. Hurdles will come and these will probably be worked out if you give them enough time. Life is so full of surprises and sometimes some days brings new set of totally unexpected problems. Read more...
